You’ve been navigating this alone. That’s about to change.
I’m EJ MacKenzie. I work with veterans with PTSD and adults with ADHD who are stuck in the administrative side of life — disability applications, VAC benefits, CRA tax credits, paperwork, and all the follow-through that never seems to get done.
Based outside Ottawa. Working with clients across Canada. Doing the hard practical work — not just talking about it.
Veterans & PTSD Advocacy
Most VAC benefits and PTSD services go unclaimed — not because veterans aren’t entitled, but because the system is relentless and complicated. I help you figure out what you’re owed, prepare the paperwork, and follow through until it’s done.
- VAC disability applications and benefit access
- PTSD service navigation and paperwork
- Follow-up on claims that have stalled or gone unanswered
- Organizing what’s been sitting on your plate
ADHD Advocacy
Adults with ADHD are often entitled to support they’ve never accessed — including the CRA Disability Tax Credit, provincial programs, and workplace accommodations. The paperwork is doable. It just requires someone who will sit down and do it with you.
- CRA Disability Tax Credit applications (T2201)
- Provincial disability and support programs
- Workplace accommodation documentation
- Organization, paperwork, and follow-through support

How it works
All services are delivered via video call, month-to-month, with no long-term commitment required. Three levels of support depending on what you need:
- Monthly Check-In · $225/month — One session plus email support. Good if you need steady guidance while managing most things yourself.
- Active Support · $450/month — Two sessions plus email and task handling. I help with paperwork, follow-up, and keeping things moving.
- Full Advocacy · $850/month — Weekly sessions plus full email access. I take the lead on applications, calls, and follow-up.
About EJ
I’m EJ MacKenzie — author, advocate, and grandmother based outside Ottawa. I’ve spent decades working alongside adults who are capable and smart, but who’ve been failed by systems that assume everyone can just figure it out. I know what it looks like when a capable person is being held back by paperwork and bureaucracy — and I know how to help.
I work with veterans with PTSD and adults with ADHD because the need is real, the barriers are real, and the work matters. I believe in plain talk, practical help, and actually getting things done.
